The following ministries fall under the oversight of the Women's Ministry:
Intercessory Prayer
God loves to answer the prayers of His people! Intercessory prayer is an awesome privilege that gives us an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. Ladies, we invite you to join us as we lift up our pastors, services, ministries within the church, the church body as well as missionaries supported by Calvary. This is by invitation only. To have your prayer request prayed for, you may either send a prayer request below or fill out the card in the chair pocket in the sanctuary and put it in the offering or agape box. All requests are kept confidential.
Showers of Blessing
Psalm 127:3a says “Children are a heritage from the Lord.” The Showers of Blessing ministry desires to welcome and
minister to our new moms by celebrating the birth of their baby, encouraging fellowship and providing prayer support.
We plan a shower for our expectant or new moms where we pray for the mom and baby as well as encourage fellowship. We plan quarterly or semi-annual showers for our expectant moms. Small gift baskets are given to bless the new moms.
Meals Ministry
The meals ministry exists to help a hurting family by providing meals in their time of grief, recovery from illness/surgery, or childbirth. Some say food is good for the soul. We know that our Father is the true Comforter, but it's nice to get a meal when one is sick, hurting, or unable to cook. The Meals Ministry is perfect for women who need flexibility in serving in a ministry. It is as easy as picking up a meal at the store, having something delivered, or actually cooking something nutritious for those in need. If distance is an issue, there is usually someone to pick up your prepared meal from the church and deliver it for you. Calvary Christmas Care 'n Share
Calvary Christmas Care 'n Share is a way that we minister to children and families in our church body who have needs at Christmas. Specifically, the ministry exists to provide Christmas gifts for children who might otherwise have a very slim Christmas. We match volunteers anonymously with gift ideas provided by families. Gifts are collected and distributed to the appropriate families prior to Christmas.
